African Development Bank annual meetings
Jun 29 2010
Countries throughout Africa managed to weather the storm brought about by the global economic slowdown, still managing to record a continent-wide economic growth of 2.5% last year. While higher growth is expected this year, African countries continue to contend with a number of challenges as they seek to develop their economies. This year’s African Development Bank annual meetings brought together delegates from around the continent and beyond to discuss the challenges ahead and ways of tackling them. Middle East and Africa editor of The Banker, Daniel Maalo, discusses the highlights of this year’s annual meetings with The Banker’s editor, Brian Caplen.
